Rosso Solini: What's your opinion?

I recently came across an article in the paper related to Rosso Solini. If you have never heard of it, basically it is a company that has been set up by an Irish teenager, the company (Rosso Solini) has designed a product that will transform any high street high heel, into a designer red soled shoe. The product is a red sticker that can be applied in less than 3 minutes, making your shoes look like authentic Christian Louboutin's! A box  of 3 pairs of stickers cost  €15, the red stickers can be bought at http://www.rossosolini.com/ all contact details and further information is on the website.
I personally think that this is a great idea, especially coming from somebody so young. I wish Tara and her company the best of luck :)
Leave a comment below to let me know whether you love/loathe this idea!

10 Wardrobe Essentials

These are 10 items that I think should be in every girls wardrobe:
  • Little Black Dress: The LBD is a versatile dress that can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. The style of the dress should be as simple as possible. For daytime it should be worn with a jacket and pumps and for evening, complete the look with high heels and accessories.

  • Jeans: Everybody needs a good pair of jeans, you should invest in your jeans as they will last for years. Jeans are so versatile, they can be casual/dressy. Good jeans can be hard to find, but take your time, and make sure those jeans are right for you. (remember to buy your jeans a little snug as they can expand with wear)

  • Leather Jacket: A short leather jacket is versatile, paired with jeans or a casual dress, the leather jacket is the perfect option to pull together stylish, yet casual outfits. Always make sure your jacket fits well and comes to just below your wrist bone.

  • Dressy Trousers: A well made pair of dress trousers are very versatile and go with most things in your wardrobe. Dressy trousers look best with a smart shirt and cardigan. Both heels and pups go great with these trousers.

  • Cardigan: There are many ways to incorporate a cardigan into your outfits. A cardigan can be dressed down or up. Cardigans go with dresses, jeans, skirts and dressy pants. I think the vest colours to have are black, grey and white, and after the basics you can add reds, yellows, pinks, purples, whatever you like.

  • Trench Coat: The classic khaki trench coat is suitable for day or evening wear. The belt tie is great at cinching in the waist. Again the trench coat can be worn with skirts, jeans, the list is endless. With a trench coat any outfit looks polished and chic!

  • White Shirt: There are many different styles of white shirts, all of which are a great wardrobe essential. Goes with jeans, skirts (knee length/full) or dress pants, the possibilities are endless. Layer/accessorise to your liking.

  • Wrap Dress: Very versatile, every wardrobe should have 1 or 2 wrap dresses. A wrap dress can be worn so many different ways, casual/dressy. Go get yourself one now! (wrap dresses are also very slimming and good at hiding bulges!)

  • Nautical Top: Isn't often mentioned as an essential, but a nautical top can make the simplest of outfits look chic and effortless. This top looks great with a pair of jeans and flats. If it's cold wear with a trench or cardigan.
  • Blouse: Whether your blouse is short sleeved, long sleeved or sleeveless, they are a wardrobe must have. team with jeans, skirts or layer them with cardigans/jackets. You can wear them again and again knowing that they are casual or dressy, it's up to you!

Hope you enjoyed....
Until next time....

This year 70's fashion is coming back!
How to wear the 70's style during the day: It's all about clean, yet voluminous shillouettes with earthy colours.
  • High waisted flares or wide legged trousers.

  • Bow blouses with billowing sleeves, they look great in a satin/silk material

  • Printed jumpsuits/playsuits look great with either flats or heels.

  • Turtleneck jumpers

  • Hotpants (for the brave!) wear a short as you dare!

How to wear the 70's style at night:
  • Choose high- shine material (silk, sequins etc) with a disco inspired trend

  • Long evening gowns with low necklines or slits are perfect for night-time

  • Ruffled neckline under a blazer paired with smart trousers.

How to wear 70's accesories:
  • Big leather belts worn over skirts, trousers, and even jumpsuits are a great statement piece for an outfit.

  • Wear lots of jewellery: Try long necklaces and strings of bead. Wear bold, chunky rings with big stones. Also try piles of bangles.

  • You will need a good bag to finish off the look try a leather sacthel for daytime and a small bag with a long strap for evening/night time.

  • As for hair choose between a longer bob, masses of curls or long flowing hair!
 Hope you enjoyed this post...
Until next time...

My Skincare Regime

I thought I would do a quick post on the products I use on my face. I wash my face twice a day but I alternate between two brands: Johnsons and Simple, because I have very sensitive/dry skin and I find these brands work the best for me. I think to find the best products for you, you have to try everything until you find the right one. Also, you don't have to spend hundreds on skincare, use what you think is best!
The following products are what I use:

Johnson's nourishing cream wash (for dry skin)
Johnson's gentle exfoliating facial wash
Johnson's 24 hour moisture (spf 15)

Simple hydrating light moisturiser
Simple moisturising facial wash

(all products available from boots for under €5)

Different body shapes!

Everybody is a different shape. There are four main female body shapes. The different body shapes are:
Banana/Boyish: Boyish shapes have the same size bust and hips, with an undefined waist. Boyish figures usually have a small or medium sized bust. Most boyish shapes are usually slim.
Apple: apple shaped women have broader shoulders and narrower hips, Apple shaped women tend to have slim legs/thighs and the chest and abdomen look out of proportion compared to the rest of the body. Fat is usually distributed to the abdomen, chest and face.
Pear: The hips are wider than the bust. Pear shaped women tend to have (usually) larger bottoms and thighs. Fat is usually distributed i the buttocks, hips and thighs.
Hourglass: The hips and bust are almost of equal size, with a narrower waist. Fat tends to be distributed to the arms chest, hips, bottom (so usually around the upper and lower body)
